Carolinas-Virginias Team Match

Carolinas Win the 55th Virginias-Carolinas Women's Team Matches The 24 members of the Carolinas Team celebrated as they won 7 of 12 final day four-ball matches to score a 7 point victory over the Virginias Team.  The match was played July 18-20, 2011 at The Pete Dye River Course of Virginia Tech. The Carolinas Team lost the first day of four-ball match play by 1 point, won the second day matches, a Pinehurst alternate shot format, by 2 points and then clinched the win on the final day with a strong 6 point victory in the four-ball match play. This is the second straight win for the Carolinas Team, having won last year's match when it was played at River Run Country Club in Davidson, NC.
