Angela Stewart wins NC Women's Senior Championship

Angela Stewart of Greenville fired a three over par 75 - 151 to capture her first CGA Championship title by one stroke over defending champion, Pat Brogden of Garner.

North Carolina players receive Golf Digest awards!

Cydney Clanton of Rockwell, NC was named the top female amateur in February's 2011 Golf Digest. Some her accomplishments cited by the magazine include her being the winner of the Women's North & South title, a member of the U.S. Curtis Cup Team and a member of the U.S. World Amateur Team.

In the Senior Women's division, Pat Brogden and Maggie Weder received honorable mentions.

Cydney was also honored by the Carolinas Golf Association as the Carolinas Woman Player of the Year while Patty Moore was honored for the 7th year in a row as the Carolinas Senior Woman Player of the Year.
